ClipDesk is a screen recorder that turns recordings into vertical videos. It is built to work on your device. This page explains what stays local and the little that reaches our server.

What stays on your device

Recording, editing, rendering, captioning and encoding all run locally in the desktop app, the Chrome extension or your browser. Your videos, audio, camera feed and captions are never uploaded to us. ClipDesk has no telemetry and no advertising or analytics trackers.

What we collect

• Purchases. When you buy Pro we collect your email address and phone number, which Cashfree needs to process the payment, along with the order, plan and payment status. We do not see or store your card, UPI or bank details; those are handled by Cashfree.
• Licence activation. When you activate or re-check a licence key we receive the key and a random device ID so we can enforce the device limit.
• Free trial. We email you a 6-digit verification code. We store a hash of your email, a hash of your machine identifier (desktop app only) and a hashed IP address, to allow one trial per person.
• Server logs. Our server keeps short-lived technical logs (hashed IP, timestamps, request outcomes) for security and rate limiting.
• Captions model. The first time you use on-device captions, your browser or app downloads a model (about 40 MB) from a public model host. If you choose to use a Whisper API key instead, it is kept in that browser tab only and requests go directly from your device to the provider you chose.

How we use it

Only to sell and deliver licences, email your key, verify trials, limit device use, prevent abuse and answer support requests. We do not sell your data or use it for marketing.

Who we share it with

Cashfree (payment processing) and our hosting and email providers, only as needed to provide the service. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Retention

Licence and order records are kept as long as needed to support your licence and meet accounting and legal obligations. Unverified trial codes expire quickly. Device slots idle for 90+ days are reclaimed.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data by emailing support@infynetic.com. Deleting licence records may end your ability to activate Pro.

Children

ClipDesk is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
